A radical change is increasingly needed to facilitate the transition from intensive to sustainable farming. Small–hold farmers benefit from support and guidance of agricultural research and development institutions and entities for developing joint projects. Building research networks of farmers and R&D institutions can make access to funding more likely. These networks help farmers to implement research and innovation ideas to provide solutions to their specific needs. This training elaborates on good practices on how to write successful international applications, how to manage and implement new information and capabilities, consortium building and network possibilities.
