Sustainable agriculture is described as farming and grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restore degraded soil biodiversity. This allows carbon decrease and improves water cycle. The main purpose is not only not to “harm the land” but to improve its health by regenerating the soil and the environment. In this way, it will be possible to produce higher quality and nutrient rich food, while decreasing greenhouse gases emissions, reversing climate change, improving crop yields, revitalizing local economies, preserving traditional knowledge and nurture biodiversity. With this training you will be able to gain knowledge on sustainable agricultural practices, namely by implementation of conservation tillage, crop rotation, and composting.
