Catarina studied Economics and Management, and started her career in consulting, from Lisbon to Luanda. She moved to London where she worked in finance for 5 years. The healthy eating came into her life when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and later with breast cancer. Health and motherhood changed her life, food became a passion, and she decided to roll up her sleeves and create Mum’s Cooking, with the mission of making healthy eating easier for everyone – especially for families with young children, for whom dinner time is so often a challenge. She has one child who devours broccoli, never imagined herself as an entrepreneur, and didn’t even like to cook – but she always loved having a full freezer!
