Conceição has a degree in Nutrition Sciences in 1996 from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto, PhD in 2002 and Aggregation in Clinical Metabolism and Experimentation in 2010, both degrees obtained at the Faculty of Medicine of Porto. Has been involved in the teaching of Nutrition and Metabolism and Food Toxicology since 1995 at the University of Porto. She is currently Full Professor at NOVA Medical School, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is the author of around 200 scientific articles. Founder and coordinator of the Degree in Nutritional Sciences at NMS.
