After 10 years working for the non-profit sector, Thomas launched his own e-commerce startup in 2014. This company is now part of the top 120 startups in France. Grand son of Bordeaux wine makers, he always wanted to take part of the necessary agricultural revolution. In 2019, he co-founded Les Nouvelles Fermes with 4 friends and ex-colleagues. “Pauline” is the first 1000sqm experimental aquaponic farm they launched in Bordeaux. After reaching breakeven point only with its production, they decided to take a step further by building a 5000sqm aquaponic farm in Bordeaux (again) . They consider this new step as an intermediary one before developing a network of urban aquaponic farms in Europe. Les Nouvelles Fermes raised 2.7M€ to achieve this goal in 2021.
