
Vesna Čuček
Vesna Čuček is Head of Agriculture Advisory Service Department, on Agriculture and Forestry Institute Celje, Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia, for 20 years. Before that, she was 10 years as advisor specialist for rural development and project manager of many national and international rural development projects. In the Department, there are 58 advisors, of those, 16 are specialists. They take care for 10.500 farmers, in a region from Alps to flatland, 89% of the area with natural constrains; average farm has 6,9 hectares of agriculture land. More than 800 farms are organic, which is almost one third of all farms in Slovenia. In the last 10 years, she has learned a lot about soil health from very experienced biodynamic farmers, as Alex Podolinsky from Australia and Pasquale Falzarano from Agrilatina farm in Italy. She does her best to transfer practical knowledge on this topic to farmers, advisors and experts in Slovenia.
